Μία από τις εμπνεύσεις του designer Jean-Louis Deniot για τον σχεδιασμό του Miami Penthouse ήταν το atelier Brancusi στο Παρίσι, καθώς και η σκηνή Art Deco του Μαϊάμι.
Υιοθέτησε το στιλ του Gerrit Rietveld, του γνωστού Ολλανδού σχεδιαστή της εποχής, του οποίου το έργο ήταν γεωμετρικό και πρωτοποριακό.
Στο σαλόνι, οι τοίχοι απογυμνώθηκαν και παρέμεινε μόνο το σκυρόδεμα, το οποίο δίνει την αίσθηση πετρώματος με μοναδική υφή. Η χρήση του ορείχαλκου απεικονίζει το φως κάνοντας τους χώρους πιο φωτεινούς και ζωηρούς. Η επίπλωση στο σαλόνι είναι σε μεγάλη κλίμακα για να εξισορροπεί το μεγάλο ύψος που έχει ο χώρος. Ο σχεδιαστής ήθελε το εσωτερικό να λέει μία ιστορία, την ιστορία της θάλασσας. Αποχρώσεις του μπλε, του λευκού και του γκρι έρχονται σε επαφή δίνοντας ένα ήρεμο αποτέλεσμα.
For this project designer Jean-Louis Deniot was inspired by the Brancusi atelier in Paris and the strong Art-Deco influences of Miami. He also leaned toward the geometric patterns and avant-garde style of Gerrit Rievelt, a Dutch designer of the period.
In the living room the walls were stripped to the bare concrete in what results to look like a beautiful, textured stone. Polished brash was added to reflect the light and make the space look bigger and more vibrant. The furnishing, too, needed to be on a large scale to balance the room’s height. Deniot intended to tell a story through his work – a tale of the sea. For this purpose, a serene combination of blue, grey and white is used to set up an easygoing living experience.
